Eve Theodora Dingle is the daughter of Paddy Kirk and Chas Dingle and the younger sister of Aaron and Grace Dingle.
Biography
2019-: Birth and early life
Chas Dingle discovered she was pregnant with Paddy Kirk's child in March 2019 while still grieving the loss their first daughter Grace the previous October. The family was overjoyed. In late May, Chas and Paddy went for their first scan and informed their loved ones that their baby was perfect but they decided to keep the baby's gender a surprise, leaving the unopened envelope under the vase pot at Grace's grave, suggesting she would keep their secret. However, the following month, Paddy's father Bear Wolf found Chas' missing scan photo while sweeping up some hedge cuttings and shows it to Chas' mother Faith. She demanded him to look at the scan and tell her the baby's gender but Bear stated that he couldn't. As she began to walk away, Bear blurted out that it was a boy. The following day, through a misunderstanding, Faith boyfriend Eric Pollard accidentally revealed to Chas and Paddy that they were having a boy.
Eve was born on 23rd October 2019, whilst Chas was stuck in the Woolpack men's toilet with her cousin Marlon Dingle while Paddy was unable to get in. Marlon helped deliver the baby safely and Bear managed to break down the door just in time for Paddy to see the last seconds of his child's birth. They were both shocked to discover they had had a daughter but soon decided to name her Eve.
In March 2020, Paddy took Eve along on a car ride to cheer up Marlon who was going through a hard time and when Marlon suffered a mild heart attack, Paddy accidentally left Eve alone in the car whilst taking Marlon to hospital. He soon realised his mistake but panicked when he found the backseat empty. A police officer soon approached revealing his daughter was safe but that social services would have to be called. Eve had to be kept in hospital overnight as a precaution but the next day Chas and Paddy could take her home after the doctor revealed she was perfectly fine but they worried as the doctor informed them Social Services had been contacted and would pay them a visit.
On 23rd March 2020, Eve was christened in a joint ceremony with Theo Metcalfe and Harry Sugden but the occasion was less than happy for Chas and Paddy who argued as Chas couldn't believe Paddy had left Eve in the car. The next day, Paddy kept his distance forcing Chas to go through a meeting with a social worker on her own as they had both forgotten she was coming. They managed to patch thing up and stood united for a second meeting and the social worker told them there was nothing to worry about.
