Briddy Middleton was the daughter of local farmer Dan Middleton. She was a stable hand and turned up at Emmerdale Farm in May 1974 was was greeted by Joe Sugden whose fiancee Christine was stood nearby and took umbrage at Joe's smoochy way of greeting her. Amos Brearly took a bit of a shine to Briddy as well. She was mentioned a few times after she was last seen, and was said to be teaching in January 1976.
