An unnamed Consultant checked over Nicola King when she couldn't feel her right arm or leg after coming round from an brain operation for a subdural hematoma in June 2016. The consultant performed tests on Nicola which confirmed she had suffered a brain injury which caused paralysis of her right side. Nicola demanded a second opinion and tried to defy her diagnosis by unsuccessfully attempting to walk. Nicola realised she didn't need a second opinion and demanded the exercises she would need to do so she could return home to her husband and children.
