Plot

Steph is stunned when the police turn up and arrest her on suspicion of Shelly’s murder. At the police station, Steph tries to lie her way out of trouble but when she is confronted with DNA evidence she is forced to confess that Shelly returned and that she did tie her up in the cellar. Steph is adamant that she didn’t kill Shelley but even her solicitor is unconvinced, and when he withdraws from the case Steph is charged with murder. Elsewhere, Marlon is over the moon as he confides in Paddy and Emily that the kids brought him and Donna together. Donna is equally delighted as she spills the beans to Katie. However, Katie sows a seed of doubt in Donna's mind and she worries that Marlon is only with her because he is lonely. Later on, Marlon reassures Donna that his feelings for her are genuine but they decide to keep their relationship secret.
