Frank Hencoller was a journalist for the Hotten Courier. Mr. Tyler decided to make budget cuts and Frank replaced Amos Brearly as the Beckindale reporter. Amos set up a rival newspaper called the Beckindale Bugle and Frank tried to show Amos there were no hard feelings, but Amos wasn't so accepting. Frank was demoted when he collapsed in The Black Bull from excessive drinking with Amos getting reinstated.
