Gaz is a relative of Ivan Jones's ex-wife Jordan. Ivan went to visit Jordan in January 2006 with his boyfriend Paul Lambert and Gaz proceeded to tease Ivan, who just let it slide. Paul was enraged to find "Ladyboyz" spray-painted on his van and he called Gaz "ratface". Gaz and his gang surrounded Paul and proceeded to homophobically attack him. However, Ivan shoved Gaz and threatened to beat him with a cricket bat. Gaz called Ivan a nutter and left.
Two years before his regular role as Lee Naylor, Lewis Linford portrayed Gaz.
