Gemma Oaten (born 8th May 1984) in Hull. She played Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale between 2011 and 2015 and has also appeared in Doctors and Casualty. Gemma is the sister of rugby player Chris Charles. Aged 11 Gemma spend 11 months in adolescent psychiatric unit due to her anorexia. Her parents set up an eating disorder charity SEED in 2000 to help other people affected by eating disorders. Gemma is the patron of the charity.
