Harry (Police Officer)

Harry was a police officer who assisted Sgt. MacArthur in the investigation of who burnt down the Home Farm Caravan in November 1982. MacArthur decided to call into Emmerdale Farm first to question the caravan's residents Jackie and Sandie Merrick. MacArthur questioned Sandie whilst Harry questioned Jackie. The pair stuck to the same story but the pair knew they were lying. The fire investigator came to a conclusion that the fire was started deliberately so Harry and MacArthur arrested Jackie and escorted Sandie down to the station. In April 1983, Harry accompanied MacArthur to Emmerdale Farm to get Jack Sugden's statement following a brutal fight between Jack and a rustler, which resulted in the rustler being rushed to intensive care with severe head injuries.
