Jill Turner was the estranged wife of Alan Turner. She turned up at Home Farm to speak to Alan about his lazy ways and how he is not willing to help his son Terence with his university fees. She still had feelings for Alan and helped him get a new temporary secretary - Caroline Bates. Alan also still had feelings for Jill but felt their marriage was too far gone and the pair heavy-heartedly said goodbye. Alan and Jill divorced later that year.
In 1985 Alan received a letter from her solicitor about his golf clubs and a few other of his items cluttering up her airing cupboard. He went round to collect them. When he bought them back to Home Farm he said to Mrs Bates that this is the sum total of a 23-year marriage.
In 2006, Terence, while lying to Alan about abusing Steph when they were younger, swore on Jill's grave, implying she had since died.
Jill was mentioned by Betty Eagleton when Alan died in October 2013.
