Kieran Roberts served as the producer on Emmerdale for one episode in July 1998 and between August 1998 and April 2001, being the successor from Mervyn Watson and the predecessor from Steve Frost.
During his stint on the soap, Roberts was responsible for the introduction of the two legacy characters Cain and Charity Dingle, and was the man behind the iconic storylines of the bus crash in March 2000 and the barn fire in November 2000 which both saw the death of the characters Butch Dingle and Sarah Sugden.
Before Emmerdale, Kieran produced several episodes of You've Been Framed! and Cluedo. After, he worked on shows Cold Blood, Distant Shores, Britannia High, Boy Meets Girl, Blue Murder and most notably served as the producer on Coronation Street from 2002 to 2004, before making a return in 2006 as the shows executive producer.
