Lady Weir was the wife of Sir Thomas Weir and the mother of The Honourable Daniel Weir. She lived at Weir Hall with her family near the village. Lady Weir resented her son's working class girlfriend Linda Glover. She was also a friend of Alan Turner, but Alan terminated their friendship because of the way she treated Linda.
