Lincoln is a district in the East Midlands of England.

Emmerdale history[]

NY Estates (the company that owned Home Farm between 1978 - 1988) had headquarters based in Lincoln.
18th March 1982 - Joe Sugden gets a shock when Alan Turner, whom he met in Lincoln the other day, arrives at Home Farm and reveals that he has been appointed the new estate manager.
March 1982 - Lincoln Delivery Services is the company Alan Turner used to transport his stuff from Lincoln when he moved to Beckindale.
22nd April 1986 - Joe Sugden and Alan Turner travel to Lincoln together as they both have interviews for the Regional Manager position at NY Estates.
15th May 1986 - Joe Sugden travels to the NY Estates head office.
19th November 1987 - Tony Marchant (Alan Turner's temporary secretary) heads back to Lincoln.
21st August 1986 - Clifford Longthorn and his family (Peggy, Andy, and Carol) move to Lincoln after being offered jobs there by NY Estates.
