Louise Marion Jameson (born 20th April 1951 in Wanstead, Essex) is an English actress who has portrayed Mary Goskirk in Emmerdale since March 2022. Prior to her role as Mary, she portrayed Sharon Crossthwaite in Emmerdale Farm in January 1973. Sharon became the first character, major or minor, to die in the series.
She is also known for her roles as Leela in Doctor Who and Rosa di Marco in EastEnders.
Jameson has also appeared in The Omega Factor, Tenko, Bergerac, Casualty, The Bill, Doctors, River City, Doc Martin, Holby City, The Dumping Ground, Silent Witness and Midsomer Murders.
She is also a patron of DAVSS, an award winning community based charity supporting male and female victims of domestic abuse in West Kent.
