Louise Jameson

Louise Marion Jameson (born 20th April 1951 in Wanstead, Essex) is a English actress who portrayed Sharon Crossthwaite in Emmerdale Farm in January 1973. Sharon became the first character, major or minor, to die in the series. Jameson returned to the programme in March 2022 as Mary Goskirk, the mother of Rhona Goskirk. Originally a minor character, Mary later became a regular character.

Jameson is best known for her role of Leela in the sci-fi television series Doctor Who (1977-1978), but has also played Anne Reynolds in The Omega Factor (1979), Blanche Simmons in Tenko (1981-1982), Susan Young in Bergerac (1985-1990) and Rosa di Marco in BBC's rival soap EastEnders (1998-2000).
