Lucy Kate Pargeter (born 1st March 1977 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire) is an English actress who has portrayed Chas Dingle in Emmerdale since October 2002.
Pargeter trained at the Central Junior Television Workshop. She was a member of the band Paperdolls which toured with Boyzone in the early 1990s and she took part in Stars In Their Eyes as Emma Bunton.
Her first acting role was in the movie The Bare Necessities in 1996 with future Emmerdale co-star William Ash.
Pargeter has also appeared in Soldier Soldier, Dalziel and Pascoe, and played the role of Brenda in the film Anita and Me and Helen Raven in Crossroads.
In January 2006, she appeared in the reality singing competition Soapstar Superstar and finished in third place. In 2007, Irish channel TV3 hosted the TV Now magazine awards. Pargeter and fellow Dales actor Tom Lister won Best Couple for their portrayal of Chas and Carl. In 2011, she appeared on a celebrity edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, with her co-star Danny Miller who plays her on screen son Aaron Dingle.
In November 2013, She entered I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and she finished in third place.
She has three daughters with former partner Rudi Coleano, Lola born in 2005, and twins Missy and Betsy born in 2017 after undergoing IVF, Coleano and Pargeter's relationship ended in 2019.
