Martin Henderson was the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Inspector who visited Emmerdale Veterinary Surgery in March 2018 after a vial of ketamine was stolen from Vanessa Woodfield's veterinary bag. Vanessa was thrilled to find out Martin and Paddy Kirk were friends in veterinary school and as a result, Martin agreed to put in a good word for Vanessa. However, Paddy put his foot in it by joking about their other old friend, Maureen Taylor's facial hair only for to Martin reveal she is his wife! Subsequently, Martin decided against putting in a good word for Vanessa and play things by the book instead. The RCVS later suspended Vanessa for a year.
