Hey there! How are you? I wanted to let you know that this wiki's Forums may be migrating to Discussions soon ready for the UCP. Have you come across the UCP before and do you know what to expect from it? Let me know if you have any questions! :) --Spongebob456talk
This leads me to a question-How are we addressing the episode numbering for the lockdown episodes since Episode 8800 is this Friday but they don't appear to be giving away what numbers the lockdown episodes are?
And we are back to normal storylines (and at long last Episode 8801!) from Monday 29th June (with the episodes from April 30th-May 7th over the following 3 week period as apprently three weeks worth of episodes that were unfinshed before lockdown happened have since been filmed.) Be nice not to have label 8800 with a letter on the end!
Hello, Chris. Welcome. Things are going largely well here, everyone's been busy working on their tasks, such as me currently working from the "Wanted pages" list. We have frequently dealt with anonymous users making unnecessary edits to pages, namely categories irrelevant to pages, such as death categories on pages about currently living characters, but apart from that, everything is going well.
We never really assign tasks, everyone just uses their initiative. One of our users, who is not an admin, is primarily responsible for updating appearance lists, and, as far as I can remember, that task was never set for them by an admin.
As for disabling anonymous editing, if it's possible, it would be a massive weight off all our shoulders :)
Sounds great! I think that's a sign of a good team in a way if users know what each other are doing and can allocate tasks in an unspoken way if that makes sense.
It might not hurt to consider perhaps a Discord server or something so members of the community can talk to each other - might be a great way to talk about the series in a live chat environment. Just something to think about. :)
Anonymous editing is disabled! Hopefully that makes your life easier. --Spongebob456talk
Hi I have noticed that episode pages for Episode 8586 to 8599 are all protected from editing and was wondering if you know why that is and if there's any chance you could change that? I wanted to change Wendy and Al over from guest to regular cast but couldn't do it on those episodes.
How are you doing? I'm sharing with you an important message about the upcoming United Community Platform (UCP) this year. As you know, FANDOM and Gamepedia will receive a huge renovation for improvements of editor/user/visitor experience planned to allow all extensions currently available to the MediaWiki engine. And due to that, the community will be going through phases of the development. To stay up to date about these upcoming changes, the blog is available for you to reference. Additionally, please be on the lookout for UCP phase releases and keep the users informed. For any questions and others, as always, please don't hesitate to message me about them, and I will be happy to answer them for you!
Do you think the List of Deaths page should have a section for book characters? It could have the name of the character, date of death and the book they were last mentioned in. Also, do you think the first and last book appearances should be named in a character's infobox under "first/last appearance"?
Hi there! Quick update on FANDOM's end-of-the-year term. First, there will be changes with featured videos: as of the end of this December, "Featured" Video will be receiving some trial run experiments in hopes of improving its quality, reasons being that videos featured on a page tend to be outdated or spout all the information the user can already read on the article. The main goal will be to figure out how to complement wiki content. Because of that, you might receive a video called "The Loop" play for anonymous users, which will be meant purely to collect visitation data in the vein of the Global Taxonomy method. It won't affect all users, so you might not notice. But if you want to learn more, you can go to the blog post. For more info on Fandom's year in review, you can check out the community post. Let me know if you have any questions, and happy holidays!
Hi again! I'm writing to let you know about the Global Taxonomy. This is a feature that accumulates wikis a user visits into a list of recommended wikis tailored to them. In this context, it'll attract fans and newcomers to the wiki! You can read more about it on the blog, plus if you're interested in template use, you can check out this link, too. Hope you find them helpful!
