Michael Praed (born Michael David Prince; 1st April 1960 in Berkeley, Gloucestershire) is an English actor who portrayed Frank Clayton in Emmerdale from August 2016 to August 2019.
He is best remembered for his role as Robin of Loxley in the British television series Robin of Sherwood, which attained cult status worldwide.
Aged two, his family moved to Iran, where he lived until he was aged eight, when he was sent back to England to attend prep school. He attended Eastbourne College, before attending Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he received his Actor's Equity Card, selecting the name 'Praed' randomly from the phone book as there was already a Michael Price listed with Equity.
Praed has also appeared in Dynasty, Crown Prosecutor, The Secret Adventures of Jules Verne, Mile High, as well and numerous theatre shows and films.
Michael was married to Karen Landau in 1994. The pair had two children, Gabriel and Frankie, before their split in 2009, He is now married to Josefina Gabrielle.
