Michael Sheard

Michael Sheard (18th June 1938 - 31st August 2005) was a Scottish-born actor who played Alan Turner's friend The Major in March 1983.

His other credits include The Sweeney, Z Cars, Crown Court, Grange Hill, Coronation Street and 'Allo 'Allo. His Grange Hill role is what he is best known for, as he played the tyrannical teacher Mr. Bronson from 1985 to 1989.
