Nadine Butler is a former nurse who was murdered by Meena Jutla.
She first met Meena while they were both training to be nurses.
Nadine was first mentioned in June 2021 when, Meena told Diane Sugden about how her friend Nadine committed suicide in her car and that Meena regretted not keeping a close enough eye on Nadine and letting her become friends with toxic people. Later on when alone Meena reads a newspaper clipping that reveals Nadine Butler was a murder victim.
The following month, on her 18th birthday, Leanna Cavanagh discovers that Meena stole the Pride collection tin, which went missing days prior. She also discovers the newspaper clipping regarding Nadine's death, and then realises that she was murdered by Meena. This leads to Leanna also being murdered by Meena.
In December 2021, Meena tells her sister Manpreet Sharma about Nadine, for the first time ever. She tells her that they were best friends and that she took her own life. Manpreet is intrigued and does some research. She finds out that Nadine's sister Carol, was convinced that Nadine's death was not by suicide and that she was murdered. She then meets up with Carol who explains that it was Meena who murdered her, and that she had been controlling her life and her friends. Manpreet is left shocked and when she confronts Meena, she denies it initially and says that Carol is a liar, but in the end, Meena confesses to murdering Nadine, and then hold Manpreet hostage at Dale View, and tries to kill her aswell.
