Oliver Young (born 1995) appeared in Emmerdale as Joseph Tate, son of Chris Tate and Rachel Hughes, between the characters birth in June 1995 until the characters departure in September 2005. In September 2017, Joseph, now played by Ned Porteous, was reintroduced under the alias of Tom Waterhouse.
