PC Wilson was a police constable who, with a group of other officers, attempted to rescue Viv Windsor and Shirley Turner and apprehend their captors Simmy, John Francis, Colin Long and Reg Dawson in May and June 1994. He also investigated the death of Ben Dingle in August 1994, when Ben collapsed suddenly during a fight with Luke McAllister. Ben's death was later deemed to be caused by a heart defect.
In April 1995, PC Wilson returned Robert Sugden back to his father and step-mother, having found him hiding on Derek Simpson's property, and arresting Derek. He returned in August 1995 when he arrested Frank Tate for assaulting Ken Adlington.
