Paul Loughran (born 7th July 1969 in Belfast) played Butch Dingle in Emmerdale from 1994 until the character's death in a bus crash in 2000.

Paul went to have a regular role in the ITV crime drama Blue Murder, alongside former Emmerdale co-star Ian Kelsey. Paul has also appeared in other British TV shows such as Heartbeat', Ideal, The Royal, The Bill and Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Coronation Street.

During the 1980s and 90s, Paul's voice was dubbed over that of Irish politician Gerry Adams, due to the voice restrictions of Irish politicians on British television.
