Peter Schofield (29th July 1928 - 29th July 2003) was an English actor and the second actor to play Ernie Shuttleworth. Peter played the role sporadically between 1984 and 1999, appearing as the character for the longest duration.
With a career spanning nearly three and a half decades, with Emmerdale being his last credit, Peter's other credits also include Coronation Street.
