DS Holmes searched for dementia sufferer Ashley Thomas after he managed to walk out of his care home wearing his cassock in March 2017. DS Holmes called round to Mulberry Cottage to assure Ashley's distressed family that his disappearance was being treated as high priority and all available officers were conducting the search.
