Skipdale Motors was a business that sold second hand cars and was based in Skipdale.
The company was part of Businessman Alec Fenton's portfolio along with Fentons Lorries who had a contract with NY Estates to dump goods atPrimrose Dingle . In 1982 there was a few issues with lorry drivers driving through the village and when a paper boy was almost struck by a lorry in November 1982, Alec told the drivers to not drive through Main Street. One of the drivers ignored this and it was reported that he was still using the Main Street route. Alec sold Joe Sugden a flash car from Skipdale Motors for a small price as a bribe but this failed and the contract, that had recently expired, was not renewed.
