Smokey was Seth Armstrong's dog. Smokey lived with Seth at his home in Demdyke Row. On the night of 30th December 1993, Elizabeth Pollard looked after Smokey for Seth when he was in The Woolpack. That night after a row with her husband, Elizabeth stormed out leaving Smokey in the house when a plane crashed on the village and much of Demdyke Row was destroyed. Smokey died as a result.
