Teddy Turner (13th June 1917 - 29th August 1992) played Tom Hawker in 1978, and Bill Whiteley between 1989 and 1990.
After Emmerdale Farm, he had a regular role in Coronation Street between 1982 and 1983, playing Chalkie Whitely. He also had a recurring role in the ITV sitcom Never the Twain and the BBC drama All Creatures Great and Small.
He died on 29th August 1992 at the age of 75.
