The Unknown baby was a victim of the Plane Crash, and was a passenger of the plane itself. Frank Tate had taken the deceased baby to the village hall and said to the police officer that the baby should be laid to rest with dignity, and not be seen as "evidence".
In mid January 1994, the baby's maternal grandparents - Mr and Mrs Robolowski - visited Beckindale to thank Frank and ask for the baby to be buried in Beckindale. They also explained that their daughter was the baby's mother, who was also a passenger on the plane, along with her husband.
