The Verney family appeared in Emmerdale between 1973 and 1978. They were the original owners of Home Farm and they were part of the landed gentry.

Family Members

• Lord Miffield, married unknown woman and Violet Verney.
  • Ralph Verney, son of Lord Miffield and an unknown woman.
  • George Verney, son of Lord Miffied and Violet, married Millie Verney (1935-1938) and Laura Verney (1966-1974).
  • Marjorie Verney, daughter of Lord Miffied and Violet, married Ronald Proctor (1948-??).
    • Mark Proctor, son of Marjorie and Ronald Proctor.

Charlotte and Gerald Verney were the niece and nephew of George Verney but it is unclear exactly how they fit into the tree. Oswald Verney was a distant ancestor of George.
