The vicarage was a house which the vicar of St. Mary's Church would live in. The house was first occupied by Edward Ruskin and his wife Liz until his departure in 1975. Residency was then taken over by William Hockley in 1977, but William left the village later that year and the vicarage was lived in by Donald Hinton until his departure in 1989. The vicarage was then sold and Brook Cottage became the new vicarage until it was burnt down in 2005.
