An unnamed waiter worked at Kevin's in March 1982. The waiter took Dolly and Matt Skilbeck and Jack Sugden's orders. Jack asked what the soup of the day was. When Joe Sugden and Pat Merrick joined, the waiter offered to bring a chair over to seat five people at the table. He later asked the group if everything was fine as Jack and Joe got into an argument.
